Was Donald Trump’s use of Eddy Grant’s ‘Electric Avenue’ in a campaign video back in 2020 fair use? No, it was not, a judge has now confirmed after Grant sued. Presumably this helps The White Stripes with their lawsuit over a Trump campaign video. Though the disputes over the use of music at Trump’s rallies remain a little more complicated.
